Many bride and grooms look forward to the Summer season for their perfect outdoor wedding. Like any outdoor wedding, you risk unpredictable weather. Most worry about the rain, but the heat is just as bad. Here are my 3 favorite ways to help your guests stay cool during your nuptials.

Juice and water stations allow guests to get a refreshing drink before they take their seats. You can also provide bottled water at each seat.

Gray and Yellow Inspiration

Gray and yellow is a color combination that a lot of couples don't consider. Gray is an elegant color and great substitute for black. It is softer and has multiple shades. With a splash of yellow, it is one of my favorite wedding color combination.

Flower Tip! White Anemone and Ranunculus

The white rose is a very common wedding flower. It is a global symbol for romance and passion. Many brides choose to hold a bouquet of white roses at their weddings, but some what to try something different. For the bride who wants an alternative to the rose, I recommend anemone or ranunculus. Both flowers, a part of the Ranunculaceae family, are different from the rose and create beautiful bouquets, centerpieces and decor.

Anemone

Said to be the creation of the Goddess Venus, the anemone has a sweeter feel than the rose. Perfect for an outdoor wedding, the anemone has a signature look of two colors. The middle of the flower is of a darker hue.

The Tecolote Ranunculus, the most commonly used species, can be mistaken for a rose, but its abundant petals create a more lush look similar to ruffles.

My 4th of July at the White House!

I was happy to have the opportunity to volunteer at the White House this 4th of July. The day catered to Military and their family, as well as the White House Staff. Great BBQ, fun games, high-energy concert (you have to scroll down to see who) and of course the finale: Fireworks!

Met some great White House interns who were very patriotic in their attire.

This made everything official!

Mr. 305 himself! Everyone had a great time singing along to all of Pitbull's hits. I would definitely go see him in concert.

Great end to an exciting day. I can now say that I watched fireworks from the White House lawn.

Wedding Trends to Love: Creative Engagement Shoots

Engagement photos have gotten very creative over the past few years. Couples are breaking the norm and taking ideas from movies, pop culture and literature. Some couples use the pictures as save the dates, and others display these great pictures for their guests at the reception. The engagement photo shoot is another trend that allows the couple to show off their personalities and enjoy their time as a newly engaged weddings.
